OUR STORY

The monarch plays a unique and prominent role in the imagination of our country, especially considering it's an insect. These creatures are ambassadors of nature in people's gardens and symbols of summertime outdoors. Yet these butterflies, once a familiar sight, are plummeting toward extinction due to landscape-scale threats from pesticides, development, and global climate change. We aim to facilitate conservation to promote improvement and sustainability for the species.

Arcadia Butterfly Conservation is a recognized 501c3 Non Profit Organization located in Youngstown, Ohio. We offer Monarch Education, Public and Private Conservation Gardens, Free Milkweed Seeds, and Free Monarch Grow kits to those who are interested!

Our Milkweed seeds have reached 6 States and 17 Counties to date! Thank you to everyone who has made the commitment to plant milkweed for the Monarchs!
